Most people follow a SAD diet! Love the term. It’s ironic since the STANDARD AMERICAN DIET (S.A.D.) breaks this CNP’s heart! Highly processed diets lack nutrients. They are high in calories and sugar. Don’t get me started on GMO, pesticides, antibiotics and steroids! Keep in mind organic doesn’t mean healthy either! Welcome sickness and disease if you regularly consume the 3 W’s! I am referring to horrible white rice, white flour and white sugar. If that’s news, you desperately need ME!
Instead of grab and go menu at your local fast food joint, my best advice is a SMOODEE!
SMOODEE is not juice! I don’t recommend substituting juice for meals. Juicing has its place… don’t get me wrong. I love holistic aspect of healing with juicing. It’s high in vitamins, alkalizing minerals and enzymes. Since fiber is extracted, the body doesn’t have to work hard breaking it down. Juice immediately sends tons of nutrients to cells therefore making it an amazing part of a cleansing, detoxing and healing protocol. There is one major drawback to juicing. Fruit juices are high in sugar and negatively impact the body. Flooding cells with sugar whether natural or not spikes insulin. Surges in sugar cause energy highs and quick crashes. For the average Joe on the go, juicing even one meal a day may bring moodiness, sugar cravings and headaches. Juicing is a holistic tool I love. Be very cautious in dropping food to exclusively juice. It can draw toxins out too quickly, leaving you worse off than before! Easing into juicing is the best approach! This means SMOODEES!
